It's Snowing

It is December and it has finally snowed a few times. I actually like the snow but I hate the cold. I know that is a little weird but no one ever accused me of being normal. I finished school yesterday, finals and everything. And I have signed up for my classes for next semester. I am taking Spanish next semester which should be fun! I took two years of Spanish in Jr. High and High School and I cannot speak a word of it! Literally!

So today was a really dreary day. I didn’t get really any sleep last night and when I woke up this morning and started getting ready I just felt like crying. The weird thing is there was basically no reasoning behind my feelings. So I took my gloomy mood to work and then I left early and came home and slept. I feel better now but wow that was a weird day. Have any of you ever had days like that? Where you just feel like crawling up in a ball for no apparent reason?

My roommate from England is moving back to England next week. This is going to be really sad because she is a super cute girl and basically the perfect roommate. She is really friendly and outgoing and really everything you want your roommates to be… well maybe not you but I do!! But it’s okay because I am going out to England next summer to stay with her for a while. I need to save up super lots of money to do this though so I wont be going on any shopping sprees anytime soon. She lives in Leeds England which is apparently really close to London. I am thinking about going out there for about a month and then even spending a week on holiday in Spain. This would be the most amazing vacation ever and I think I may have a hard time coming back. We will see. My younger sister Stephanie is going to come with me which will be nice having someone there.

So a couple of nights ago we had a High School Musical 2 party. This was the night that HSM2 came out onto DVD and so we just had to have a party. It was really pathetic because almost all of us were either nearly 20 or over 20 in age. I may have been the oldest coming in at 22. After the DVD was over we watched some of the special features and the dance rehearsals and what not. My little sister walked in and everything just went crazy because the next thing everyone knew Steph and I were dancing our tooshies off. Everyone was laughing at us like we were crazy but really…. What is life for? Having fun right?! Well this was fun! And then the next night we had a roommate party and that was pretty fun too. We even took a picture of all of our roommates jumping into the air like the HSM posters. Wowzers.

Anyways, it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas and I really don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. Good thing because I absolutely love Christmas. Bad thing because of all the money that I have to spend on Christmas. Eek. I don’t know what I am going to do money wise. Have you ever heard the term Starving Student? Yeah that’s me! Haha! But I’m hopefully going to be getting out of that rut soon!!

Love you all!

The top pic is the HSM1 poster and the bottom pic is of my roommates and I. We are going to photoshop our bodies out of the bottom one and put them in the top one. Be excited!! I will post the final project!!!

And Some More

Why do relationships and guys have to be so complicated? Sometimes I wish that I could fast-forward 5 years and skip all of this dating and courtship crap. And yes it is crap. It is frustrating because I am a 22 year old girl living in Provo… that means I am an OLD MAID! I get the question “when are you looking to get married” more times then I can handle. When I had a boyfriend this was even worse! “When are you guys going to finally tie the knot?” Ugh kill me now! Maybe that’s why we ended up not getting married. Too much pressure. So I decided I need to completely step out of the whole game for a while. I guess really in the whole scheme of things I am not THAT old, even though I feel it sometimes. Plus boys are as complicated as all get out… sheesh they say girls are bad. Oh yeah, my mom is still on the whole thing about me going and hanging out on BYU campus and trying to catch the eye of that all important soul mate. So apparently my roommate and I are going to go and study in the library together sometime next week. This should be interesting. Were going to sit at different tables and then just text each other back and forth whenever we see a cute guy. We may even have a competition to see who can get/give the most numbers in one night. Don’t worry, I have my fake number ready to give out in case any losers try to hit on me. Haha! It’s 1-800-notonyourlife. Yeah okay they may pick that up.

Some Random Stuff

Wow, I haven’t updated in forever!! Sorry about that. I keep thinking about it but then… Life has been crazy! Well, at least I like to think it has been crazy when in actuality it has really just been a bunch of the same ol’ stuff: work and school.

School is… going ☺ I really try to make it to class everyday honest! But… sometimes it just doesn’t happen. Not to mention my Intro to Lit class has moved class rooms and I am not exactly sure where it moved to. Darn.

Work is… same! Some customers really drive me crazy. I had a customer call me the other day and they said “I was just wondering if I could get a price for just a regular blind for a regular window.” Do people not realize that there is no such thing as a regular blind or a regular window? So I proceeded to try and get more information out of the guy but all the answers that I got were “just regular”. If I could ever reach through the phone and throttle someone until they are blue in the face I think that was the time. Needless to say people drive me crazy. O – well, what can I do?

So I have been becoming to realize that I have more in common with most 6 year olds then I do most 22 year olds. Woops. One of my greatest awakening moments is when I am mid conversation with someone and I say something to the affect of “Yay Me!” and I clap my hands profusely. This is a direct imitation of London Tipton from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. One of Disney Channels many hits. Or when I am at work and I am rocking out to Hannah Montana or High School Musical 2. Not to mention that my mouse pad is a HSM mouse pad. Yes I admit it… I seem to have more intelligent conversations with teeny boppers or pre teeny boppers then I do with people who are closer to my own age. Meh, I will get over it. But I do have to say that I am extremely sad that I missed the Hannah Montana concert. My mom also had 6th row tickets!! She had them in her shopping cart (on the internet) but she didn’t hit the ‘Buy’ button. It was a travesty. I think I cried just about as much as my 8 year old sister. And no, you can’t quote me on that.

Speaking of Disney… I am incredibly excited to see Enchanted. The new Disney movie. It is about an animated world that somehow gets entwined with the ‘real’ world. It has James Marsden (Hairspray – love it!) in it and it looks uber amazing! Believe me, I will be there opening night popcorn in hand. (Because who can watch a movie in the theater with out popcorn?) And December 7... yes it is a High School Musical 2 party!! Thats the day it comes out on DVD!! Oh and anyone who has Facebook you need to sign up for the group "Why Won't Zac Efron Love Me?" It is THE MOST AMAZING Facebook group EVER! Taren and I work extremely hard everyday trying to update pictures and videos and saying funny things. So check it out! I know you want too!!

Mmmm... eye candy :)

I think thats all my random mumblings for today :) I hope I can update more often!! You love me!

My Random Thoughts Of The Day

Breaking up sucks. Yes really sucks. I was with my boyfriend for about 4 ½ years, I seriously thought we were going to get married and then one day he just dumped me. It was a sweet and heartfelt dump but still, it was a dump. For the next couple days I searched my brains to figure out what I did wrong. I should have seen it coming, we had stopped hanging out as much as we used to… but a lot of those times were because I wanted to go to yoga. (Namaste!) Anyways I finally decided that it was his loss. (Yes I am that egotistical.) So, after much deliberation I decided that I need to pick myself up and get back on that horse. (I’m not a gymnast Mauri…) It’s really scary though, the whole meeting new people thing. My mom told me to go and sit in the Wilkinson Center at BYU and many a young man would stop by my table and gaze longingly into my eyes. I can imagine it now… ahem “Hi I’m Megan and I am a UVSC student sitting in the Cougar Eatery waiting to meet my Eternal Companion.” Yeah don’t know if that will go over so well. So then my mom suggested UVSC Institute dances… uh yeah, those feel a lot like stake dances only on a more pathetic level. Lets just say any dance where people actually do the conga line is an EXNAY on my list of ‘to do’s.’

So then, here’s the worst one yet, my mom told me to go ‘ward shopping’ on Sunday. Ward Shopping?!?!? Did you hear me?? Apparently this is where I go around and ‘visit’ a lot of different wards on Sunday and then decide where I want to have my records transferred to. Do people actually do this? If you or anyone you know has ever actually done this please please please let me know!!!

Okay so then my mom decided to point out many other things that I need to do to start attracting members of the opposite sex. Apparently showering more then twice a week is a must. Dang it. And make up every day?? Really what are they asking the girls to do these days!!! And then there’s this whole thing called brushing your teeth… haha just kidding!! I do that at least 4 times a week. Hhehe. Deodorant, perfume, jewelry, teeth whitening, hair curling, high heels, fake nails, pedicures… I think I’m going to go insane!!!

Oh and on this enlightening note, I am sitting here eating a chicken bowl from Hogi Yogi which WAS NOT bought from the Alpine Hogi Yogi. Bad bad idea. The chicken happens to still have A LOT of fat on it. And I know for a fact that at the Alpine Hogi Yogi they cut the fat off. So we can all thank the hard workers at the Alpine Hogi Yogi for their diligent effort in keeping the population of Alpine skinny…. (that and their countless hours getting tummy tucks and liposuction.)

I would like to apologize to all of those pseudo skinny people in Alpine who were offended by this post. I would also like to apologize to Jason Paul Mower – if he reads this post – about the flippant manner in which I wrote about our break up :-) You know how I feel… :-)

Hello!

Hello all! I was babysitting some kids last night who are 'very into' blogging so the oldest kid got me set up with a blog page. I thought that this might be a good idea to keep everyone in touch with what is going on in my life... you know, seeing as how there's so much going on. Haha :)

My name is Megan and I am the oldest of 6 kids. I am living at home right now but looking to move out again soonishly. My family are the most amazing people in the entire world! They mean everything to me. My brother who I am really close to is leaving on an LDS mission on October 10th. He is going to Toronto Canada. I'm going to miss him a lot but I am so amazingly proud of him. My sister right younger then him is a cheerleader and also a little snot. Hehe. She is also one of my best friends so I can say that. Then my three youngest brother and sisters are amazing! They remind me of me when I was younger, kinda crazy and totally annoying but still loveable.

I am a part time student and I also work part time. I also just got a job babysitting for a family on the weekends. I am planning on going to Ecuador next summer to work in an orphanage. I think it will be an amazing experience and really show me how awesome our life is here.

I am a pretty average early 20's girl. I love to read and write. I am an English Major so I guess that fits. I'm not sure what I want to do with my degree yet though... So I'm open for suggestions! I have a wide variety of favorite books. Right now I am really loving the Twilight Series. I would seriously give my right arm to marry Edward. Too bad he's fictional. I love all the Harry Potter books and I really thought JK Rowling ended them amazingly. I loved Angels and Deamons and also the LOTR series. But really, I think my all time favorite book is Enders Game by Orson Scott Card.

I love a wide variety of movies but I would have to say Moulin Rouge is my favorite. I love the soundtrack and Ewan McGregor has a voice that is to die for. I also like Mean Girls just because it is sooo 'real'. I love any movie with Johnny Depp in it... namely the Pirates movies and From Hell. I also like movies that make me think.

The only TV show that I have ever been hopelessly addicted to was The OC. Which is really quite sad because after the first season it wasn't all too good. But I did really like when they pushed Johnny off a cliff though. But killing Marissa was just stupid. I am in love with The Office! It is the most hilarious show ever. I really like Law and Order SVU :) Almost makes me want to be a detective.

Well I think thats all for today! I'm hoping to update this thing at least every few days. :) I may go more into detail on some of the things I like, like maybe do reviews on them or something. Hehe :) We'll have to see how much time I have.

Anyways I think all of you should get blogs. I think they would be fun if we all had them right?!

Loves!
